The five cards
Five cards. Every game.
In shortEvery NHL game on Puck Party gets five cards: Game Winner, Game Shape, Player Spotlight, Matchup and Club Challenge. Everyone watching the same game answers the same five questions, each with one clue worth knowing. Picks lock just before puck drop and every one counts equally toward your Hockey IQ.

Every card shows one clue before you answer. It's a single true thing from recent games, written so it makes sense whether you watch every night or couldn't name the backup goalie. It's a clue, not the answer.
Colorado have scored more goals than Dallas over their last ten games, but have won fewer of them.
Historical results, not a forecast for tonight.
An example of the kind of clue a card shows. Each card also has a short "How this call works" section, if you want the fine print.
When they open and lock
- Open: tonight's cards are ready by the morning of game day.
- Lock: just before the scheduled puck drop. Change anything until then.
- Late: you can still play after puck drop to follow along. Late picks never count toward your Hockey IQ.
How they're graded
- Every card is right or wrong. No points, no multipliers, no card worth more than another.
- Overtime counts. A shootout decides the winner but isn't a goal for any player.
- If a game is postponed, its cards are called off and don't count either way.
- If the league corrects a result after the game, your card updates and tells you it changed.
One card, every team
You answer once per game. That same card plays in every team you're on, so each group argues about the same picks in its own way.
