Card 02 · Game Shape
Not who wins. How it goes.
In shortGame Shape is the second of Puck Party's five cards. It asks one question about how the whole game plays out, like whether there'll be six goals or more, how close it ends, or whether either team builds a three-goal lead. The question changes from night to night.

Some games are a track meet. Some are a 2-1 grind that goes to overtime. Game Shape asks you to read which one you're about to watch.
The questions
One per game, from a short rotation:
- Six goals or more tonight?
- How close will this one be? One-goal finish, two-goal finish, or three or more.
- Will either team build a three-goal lead?
- Will both teams hold the lead tonight?
- Will one team score three straight goals?
How to read a game
Look at the goalies, the back-to-backs, and how both teams have been playing lately. The card's Worth knowing clue gives you one fact to start from, like how many of a team's recent home games were decided by a single goal.
How it's graded
Every question says what counts right under it, like "Both teams combined. Includes overtime." The short version:
- Overtime always counts.
- Total goals and the final margin go by the final score. A shootout win counts as winning by one.
- Leads and scoring runs only count real goals, so the shootout doesn't build a lead or finish a run.
- Empty-net goals count. Yes, that one stings.
